We never decided on name. Some of the songs I worked on with these guys are scattered throughout my computer, literally in pieces. We only recorded a handful of times on a borrowed 4 track.

Planning a move

So I'm moving to Tallahassee. I may or may not update this less frequently so before a possible period of silence I'll upload this little file. It's...quite stripped down.

It's a few months old. I wrote it though that's not saying much as the lyrics were pretty much thought up seconds before recording. The vocal melody is all I'm happy with and Eric sang it. i think he did a pretty good job considering it was a slap-dash recording and an all around rushed setting. It's nothing like how I wanted it to sound but I figure it should be interesting to look back on this when I finish this song the way I want it to sound. If that ever happens.

The tenth (and last) song Theodora ever wrote, performed at the last show Theodora ever played. I heard it on a videotape I had forgotten about and decided I'd post it on here after I spoke with Bryan. He says it's the 10th song; I guess it is. Here are the rest of them:

Yeah, we wanted to be Mogwai. When I mention my old band around here I'm probably talking about that stuff. There was a time where this kinda music made me pretty happy but...

Songs 1 - 4 were recorded at a studio circa 2006. 5, and 7-8 were recorded from the video Bryan's dad shot of us when we were first starting out; that's dated November 2005. Alkaline vs. Adrenaline was recorded along with song 10 at the now closed Roxy Theater in Miami, July 2006.

I've got absolutely no time on my hands recently. But I borrowed a Korg synth from the band room, and I've been toying with it for a couple of hours...So here's something I came up with.

It's called something to do with the moon or whatever.

Oh, and I took that picture up there with a very cheap digital camera and a very good telescope. It sort of inspired me I think.

The above is a song I recorded today, it's about middle school.

So I start this thing off on a nostalgic note.

Kinloch Park Middle School is where I met three of my best friends. I remember missing that place on my first days of highschool, but it didn't take long before I realized that Kinloch Park was probably the worst place I had ever been to as a child. It was never strange for me to come home from school with a black eye, a bloody nose, or ripped clothing; though I didn't buy the drugs that the security guards sold, maybe that would have made it all better.

A note about my equipment:

To record I use a few cables, a cheap radioshack mic, and some loop based recording software. I've been in a band, that has changed names many times, for around 4 years now.
